Living Water
We are excited to share our latest roast with you. This fruit-forward coffee comes from FINCA FATIMA GARNICA, located in Veracruz, Mexico. In 2019,Finca Fatima becomes a Cup of Excellence winner with a score of 89.41 points using the criolla typica varieties of Coatepec. Once again in 2021, Finca Fátima became an international winner of the Cup of Excellence.
Coffee is received in cherry fruit at APG’s wetmill, weighted, and analyzed by quality. Using a mix of processing technology and traditional techniques, they strive to highlight the sweetness and balance.
We did a light roast on these beans, bringing out their natural sweetness and fruity characteristics, creating a juicy and delicious cup of coffee.
We named this roast Living Water because of the coffee’s juicy and almost thirst-quenching nature. Reminding us of John 4:10-14, where Jesus speaks to a Samaritan woman about the "living water" that he can offer, which will quench her spiritual thirst and become a well of water springing up to eternal life.
Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water?…. Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of waterwelling up to eternal life.”
